Data Minimization
We collect only the data necessary for fit prediction and never share student data without explicit consent.
Parental Consent
For students under 18, we ask a parent or guardian to consent before a profile is created, and either of them can withdraw it afterwards. Consent is the guardian's role in the product: there is no parent view of a student's conversations or profile answers, and we would rather say so than imply an oversight feature we have not built.
Data protection law
GDPR, FERPA and COPPA set the standards we are building Tryve to meet, and our privacy policy sets out what we collect, why, and how to have it removed.
We have not been certified or audited against any of them, and we are not going to claim we have. If you are evaluating Tryve for a school and need a specific assurance, ask us and we will tell you plainly where we are.
Bias Audits
We conduct regular bias audits to ensure our algorithms are fair and inclusive across all student populations.

Every Fit Check answer is built to carry a clear reason, in words. We believe students and counselors should understand why a college is recommended.
